Message from the Principal

Serving as the Principal of this extraordinary community school since 2015 is one of the greatest privileges of my life. My journey, like that of so many others, began with humble immigrant roots and a deep belief in the power of public education. I am living proof of what is possible when opportunity meets determination.

Since its founding in 2015, Fordham Leadership Academy has grown into a vibrant, nurturing, and empowering space where every scholar’s voice is heard, and every learner is seen as a future leader. Here, we don’t just educate — we uplift, inspire, and transform.

As a school leader, I believe in the message by Nelson Mandela, that education is the most powerful tool we have to change lives and strengthen communities. At FLA, we are committed to equipping our students with the knowledge, confidence, and compassion they need to shape a better world.

In the words of Justice Sonia Sotomayor, “A surplus of effort could overcome a deficit of confidence.” At FLA, we strive every day to instill that effort, build that confidence, and unlock the limitless potential within each of our scholars.
